A big ol' update...
Here's the latest from Jarabacoa, DR.
The past month and a half has been one of the fullest seasons I’ve had since moving to the Dominican Republic. Between discipleship conversations with students, traveling to support Doulos athletics, learning new media skills, making major life decisions, and watching God open new doors for my family, there has been a LOT happening.
Here's the latest... and lots of photos at the end!
Life Updates:
- I officially committed to continue serving at Doulos the 2026-2027 school year. I anticipate that my time at Doulos will go even beyond that, though!
- I survived my first year of full-time studying on top of full-time serving!
- I'm in the process of moving to a new apartment here in Jarabacoa.
Ministry Updates:
- Discipleship has been a common theme of the past couple months. All three of them have shown up in the motor lab during breaks just to chat. One of my favorite things to do if I'm having an important conversation with a student is to keep them even after their other classes have started. It shows them that deep conversations are more important than academics or even the school structure.
- I've had the chance to go on a few motorcycle rides and have more significant conversations about God with a couple students outside of school.
- On the media side of my work, I spent a significant amount of April being trained on and practicing using a new, real camera that my boss bought for the school. Up until this point I've been using my phone to capture what happens at Doulos to share on our social media. Learning this camera has been a lot of work, but it's wonderful new skill to have!
- I traveled to three major sports events in four days to support our students and take pictures! Doulos won three trophies in four days.
Family Updates:
- This is HUGE! My brother Micah and his fiancé Victory have committed to serve at Doulos here in Jarabacoa this coming school year! They'll get married mid-June and then fly down mid-July to start new staff training! Micah will be teaching Bible in high school and Victory will be providing various kinds of support to kiddos who are struggling with reading, math, etc. in elementary. I am SO EXCITED to have them here. Here's how you can help with their transition down and send financial support ⬇️
- My parents, Mark & Rachel, are developing a new ministry called "New Wineskins" in Bosnia. Right now they're working on a summer camp and a year-long discipleship training program! You can find more info here ⬇️

Sports!!

There's been so much excitement in the past few months, and there's so much change still about to happen. I'm grateful to serve a God who remains steady through it all. He is good.
Thanks for being a part of His goodness to me and my family!
